About the Conference
The "Best Practices in School-Based OT Conference" is offered through Careerfull LLC and is designed to be an affordable annual event which offers informative presentations, networking opportunities, and exposure to the latest materials (e.g. assessment tools, treatment tools, skill development programs, etc.) THAT ARE SPECIFIC TO SCHOOL-BASED THERAPY, thereby enabling attendees to demonstrate "Best Practice".
The Conference is a great opportunity to meet other school-based OTs, discuss ideas and concerns, listen to presentations regarding current research and treatment strategies, participate in panel and group discussions, and earn contact hours! If you are a school-based occupational therapist or involved with special education services, this conference is for you!
We offer Distance and In-Person Options, Early Bird Discounts, One-Day Rates, Two-Day Rates, and Group Discounts!
Attendees can earn up to 6 contact hours per day/12 contact hours for the full conference
(awarded following recorded attendance and completion of post-conference survey.)

The Story Behind the Conference
Alicia Stufoso and Lisa Nye, the managing partners of Careerfull LLC, are occupational therapists who met in 2001 while working in school-based therapy. By 2011, they were living on opposite sides of the country, however, they kept in touch to discuss the rewards and challenges of providing therapy in schools and offer each other strategies and support. Alicia and Lisa were interested in networking with other school-based OTs and searched for a conference that was 100% dedicated to topics related to school-based therapy, but they were unable to find one. Being young and foolish, they decided to plan one themselves. The first conference was held in 2012, and the number of attendees has grown exponentially since then, with OTs joining from as far away as Canada and Germany! Alicia and Lisa are employed full-time as school-based OTs and they plan the conference in their free time ...truly a "labor of love"... because they believe it is an important source of information and emotional support for their colleagues
(and themselves!)
